Marshall Hogue

Marshall Hogue is an associate attorney with SW&L Attorneys. Marshall’s primary practice areas include commercial litigation, construction litigation, and landlord disputes.


Marshall received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of North Dakota in 2016 where he was an active participant in the university’s Toastmasters International club.

Marshall went on to attend the University of North Dakota School of Law. Until his graduation in 2019, Marshall was a board member of law school’s Energy Law Association. The association’s goal is to facilitate student learning opportunities pertaining to Western North Dakota’s abundant natural resources. The association played a major role in starting an oil & gas law program at the school, which now affords students the opportunity to take oil & gas law classes.

Personal Background

Marshall was born and raised in Minot, ND. Growing up, he enjoyed playing basketball, baseball, and golf for Our Redeemer’s Christian School and its co-op partners. Before going to law school, Marshall started an energy service company in the Bakken, which he is passionate about and has grown to extend services in West Texas and Colorado. In his spare time, Marshall can be found bowhunting, on the golf course, watching the Green Bay Packers, or spending time with his family who loves traveling.
