Practice

Dom’s primary areas of practice include evictions, business disputes, payment disputes, breach of contract, construction defects, construction negligence, express warranties, implied warranties, and construction liens/mechanic’s liens.

Dom also expanded his practice to include the area of aviation and drone law. Dom received his Aviation Law certification from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2022.

Professional History

Dom started working for SW&L in 2022. Before attending law school, Dom worked at Rodenburg Law Firm. During law school, he also worked as a law clerk for the Northeast Central Judicial District and at the State’s Attorney’s Office for two years. Dom also worked as a student representative for Lexis.

Education History

Dom earned his Bachelor of Arts degrees  in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Sociology, graduating Summa Cum Laude at North Dakota State University. He also received his Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and published his thesis on the Media Portrayal of Mass Shooters.

After graduating from NDSU, Dom attended the University of North Dakota School of Law. While there, Dom was involved in the Canadian Law Student Society and the Student Trial Lawyers Association and was also a member of the Inns of Court. He received high grade awards in Administrative Law and Environmental Law. Some of his favorite classes included Trial Advocacy, Drone Law, Space Law, and Administrative Law. Dom graduated with his J.D. Cum Laude and obtained a certificate to practice Aviation Law.

Personal Background

Dom grew up in Bismarck. In high school, he ran track and played soccer. He was involved in DECA and was a finalist at the national level. After graduating high school, he moved to Fargo for college. While in college he worked at a mental health hospital and in private security. In his free time he enjoys woodworking, cooking gourmet meals, working out, and hiking.. Dom also enjoys attending plays at the NDSU Theatre and attending Bison tailgating events on the weekends.

Community Involvement

Dom volunteers and donates to various social causes. Some of those include volunteering at DECA events, the Salvation Army, and a local mental health hospital.
